SDYS Fall Ball is a developmental league providing a competitive, educational and fun environment for those girls looking to stay active in organized softball during the fall season. The league includes teams from SDYS as well as other leagues within the ASA's North San Diego District. Traditionally, teams have been comprised of players whose skill levels range all the way from newcomer to all-star.
Divisions are open to girls in 8U, 10U and 12U, age groups. The 2010 season will run from September 6th thru November 14th. Games will be played on Sundays. The 8U's will play one game while the older age groups will play doubleheaders. There will be a season-ending tournament on November 14th.
The 2010 registration fee for SDYS players will be $125 per player. There will be no buyout option available for snack bar duty. SDYS parents will have a mandatory shift. Scholarships are available and must be pre-approved by the Player Agent.
For leagues other than SDYS,
there is a $100 fee per team for entry into the league in order to cover
the cost of league administration, umpire coordination, and post-season awards.
SDYS asks that, if possible, other leagues provide field time at their home parks
in order for Fall Ball to accommodate more teams and players. Teams will
be responsible to provide one new game ball and to split with their opponent the
umpire fees (typically $50) each game played.
