Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Cost For Fall Ball?

Registration includes: a uniform top, USA Softball registration, insurance, umpire fees, and a standard picture package. Scholarships are available and awarded based on financial need. Please contact the treasurer at for more information.

All Fall teams are formed by the Player Selection Committee which takes many factors into account when forming teams.

What happens if the season is canceled, cut short, or scrimmages and games can't be played?

If SDYS is unable to complete the season or unable to play games due to City, County or State Regulations, the league will endeavor to credit or refund part or all of the registration fee as appropriate.

What is the appropriate division for my player?
Divisions are based on the player's year of birth as shown below. Players that will be moving up a division in Spring (players with birthdays on even numbered years) are strongly recommended to play the Fall season in the division that they will be age-appropriate for Spring 2021. For example, 2007 birthdates play in 14U, 2009 = 12U, 2011 = 10U and 2013 = 8U. Any requests to "stay down" in the division they played in during Spring need board approval. Please contact the Player Agent, Brian Zeglen with requests to play down.
