Anna “Fitzy” Fitzpatrick was a beloved player to our San Dieguito Youth Softball family. Anna joined SDYS in Spring of 2014 as a 10U player. She had a fierce bat and her height gave her a tremendous advantage when catching those “over the head” line drives. Her witty sense of humor, dedication and passion is what made Fitzy truly special. When asked to describe Fitzy in one word, her teams responded with: amazing, affectionate, enlightening, bubbly, kind, cheerful, and passionate.

Unexpectedly, Anna passed away at the age of 13 in December of 2017. This shocked our SDYS family. In her memory, SDYS will present a special trophy to one player on each fall team who represents “Strength, Grit and Determination”.
