The 2024 All-Star tryouts will be held the first week of May and will include the following teams:
- 8u gold
- 8u silver **
- 10u gold
- 10u silver**
- 12u gold
- 12u silver **
- 14u gold
**pending interest and coach availability
All-Star evaluations are scheduled as follows. Please note that if your player has a game at this time, they can arrive following the end of their game:
- 8U - Wednesday, May 1, field 4 at 4:30 pm
- 10U - Wednesday, May 1, field 4 at 6:00 - 8:00 pm
- 12U - Thursday, May 2, field 2 at 5:30 pm

2023 All Star Season Information
Tryouts for all players will be held on Monday, May 1st & Tuesday, May 2nd at Cardiff Sports Park. There is no fee to try out.
Schedule is as follows: (8U players should confirm with their rec coach which night they are assigned to)
- Monday, May 1st:
- 5-6pm: 8U (Teams Der, Dillon, Duncan, Faull, Messy, Quentin, Walter)
- 6-7:30pm: 12U
- Tuesday, May 2nd:
- 5-6pm: 8U (Teams Ale-Ali, Burkel, Howard, Mahoney, Remy & Sinclair to come as soon as their game ends)
- 6-8pm: 10U
In order to be permitted to participate in tryouts, families must fill out the All-Star Commitment Form and upload a copy of the player’s birth certificate.
If you are unable to attend tryouts, please fill out the All-Star Commitment Form for your age division and email Matt Walker (playeragent@sdyssoftball.com) to confirm your request for consideration.
Please show up 30 minutes early to warm up. You MUST submit your All-Star Commitment Form below by Monday, April 24th to try out.

2023 All Star Commitment Form
If you are interested in having your player try out for All Stars please review the commitment requirements and submit your information on the appropriate age division your player will be trying out for. You will need to upload your players Birth Certificate on the associated Google Form. Click on the link associated with the age division for your player and complete the form to register your player for All Star Tryouts.
For the 2023 All-Star Season, all SDYS teams have been classified as “B” level teams. There is a possibility that any Silver team(s) formed may be re-classified as “C” level, so please note the different dates on the schedule are possible. These details on classification should be known by early June.
In addition, note that the State Tournament is only for teams that qualify by placing high enough in their District Tournament. Additional Regional Tournaments may follow if teams qualify from the State Tournament.
