2025 All-Stars
Although the 2025 All-Star season is still a ways off, it's never too early to start getting excited! Keep an eye out for updates on tryouts and team selections as we get closer to the season—there's plenty of thrilling softball action ahead.
2024 All-Stars
2024 All Star Season Tryout Information
All tryouts will be held at Cardiff Sports Park. There is no fee to participate. If your player has a game scheduled during tryouts, they can attend after their game ends.
Tryout Schedule
- 8U: Wednesday, May 1, Field 4, 4:30 pm
- 10U: Wednesday, May 1, Field 4, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
- 12U: Thursday, May 2, Field 2, 5:30 pm
To be eligible for tryouts, families must complete the All-Star Application Form and upload a copy of the player’s birth certificate.
Important Reminders
- If you can't attend tryouts, fill out the All-Star Application Form for your age division and email Matt Walker at playeragent@sdyssoftball.com to request consideration.
- Arrive 30 minutes early to warm up.
- Submit your All-Star Application Form by Monday, April 29th to be eligible to try out.
Register Your Player
To register your player for All-Star tryouts, review the commitment requirements and fill out the All-Star Application Google Form. You'll need to upload a copy of your player's birth certificate with the form.

In addition to the All-Star Selection and Commitment Information document (above), here's what parents and players will want to know about the SDYS Softball All-Star teams' schedule, commitment, and expectations for each age division.
8U Silver Division
The 8U Silver All-Star team has a simplified schedule with three or four tournaments chosen by the board based on player availability and team fit. The focus is on building a dedicated team for a successful season, setting the stage for future All-Star opportunities.
10U Silver Division
The 10U Silver division follows a similar structure to 8U, with a set number of tournaments. Districts, States, and Regionals are tentatively on the schedule but not guaranteed. This could change based on the team's performance, so flexibility is key.
12U Silver Division
The 12U Silver division has a setup like the 8U Silver division, with a predetermined number of tournaments. Like 10U, Districts, States, and Regionals are tentatively planned but are not definite. Be prepared for possible adjustments depending on the team's results.
Gold Divisions
All Gold teams have a full calendar, determined by the board, with 5-6 tournaments, districts, and states/regionals for teams that qualify. These teams are expected to follow the complete schedule, emphasizing commitment and competitive performance.
